Friendship groups

At Link Visiting, we’re all about changing lives through friendship. When we’re feeling lonely, it can feel difficult to put ourselves ‘out there’ and make new friends - and that’s where our Friendship Groups project comes in! This group aims to help our Link Friends stay connected and to increase their social contacts.

We carefully put together groups of around 5 - 6 Link Friends and volunteers who live close by and share similar interests. The groups will get together every 3 to 4 weeks and we will help make the arrangements for each meeting. We will keep in touch to make sure the group meetings are running smoothly.

If you’re not yet a volunteer, we will happily send you a Volunteer Pack by email. This contains a simple application form which asks for two references. Please mention that you’re specifically interested in ‘Friendship Groups’.
