Link Thursdays
Hosted by The Link Visiting Scheme, Link Thursdays is a weekly community space and café open from 10am - 1pm every Thursday.
Link Thursdays is an award-winning project! A vibrant, welcoming space each week where anyone in the community can just turn up with a guarantee of a warm welcome. We host a range of activities, friendship tables, and pride ourselves with being dementia friendly. The newly refurbished All Saints Church offers hot drinks, freshly baked cakes, and snacks to be enjoyed by all! Join us on Thursdays for a coffee and a chat — or settle in with some knitting or a game of dominoes.

"It's become a family. People soon settle in, and the family continues to grow. It’s a privilege to be part of such a wonderful organisation, and I enjoy every minute of it.
It’s amazing to see people’s faces light up when they come in on Thursday and see a friendly group of people. It’s so uplifting for everyone!”

What we’ve been up to recently…
Daphne’s story
Daphne, 84, lives alone with dementia and has no family nearby. Feeling isolated and longing for meaningful conversations, she struggled with loneliness. Concerned neighbours reached out on her behalf, and we paired her with Rachel, a dedicated volunteer.
Rachel has been a wonderful companion, encouraging Daphne to leave the house and helping her attend Space for All every Thursday. Daphne now stays active, connects with new people, and enjoys a break from her usual routine.
She shares how much she values speaking with someone beyond her carers, saying it has significantly improved her life. *Names changed
