Community Project of the Year

We were delighted to win a Wokingham Community Award in the category of Community Project of the Year for 'Link Thursdays'.

This recognition, in association with Wokingham Today, Wokingham Borough, and Wokingham Communities Vision 2035, is a wonderful honour. The project was made possible thanks to a generous legacy donation from Link Friend William Ian Hamilton. Winning this award celebrates his incredible contribution and the dedication of our amazing volunteers, who bring warmth, energy, and a personal touch to every session.

A huge congratulations to all the nominees and winners who are doing such fantastic work across Wokingham.

Volunteers at Link Thursdays, Sue and Jo, said: "It's become a family. People soon settle in, and the family continues to grow. It’s a privilege to be part of such a wonderful organisation, and I enjoy every minute of it. It’s amazing to see people’s faces light up when they come in on Thursday and see a friendly group of people. It’s so uplifting for everyone!”

Come and say hello!
