Join #TeamLink: Marathon 2027

One weekend, TWO marathons — join #TeamLink in 2027!

Didn't get a ballot place? Don't hang up your trainers just yet, we've got some brilliant news.

For one year only, the TCS London Marathon is becoming a two-day event. On Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 April 2027, a record 100,000 runners will take on the famous 26.2-mile route from Greenwich to Westminster, and we've just heard that The Link Visiting Scheme has been allocated FIVE Saturday Charity Packages as well as ONE place on Sunday.

That means we're looking for amazing supporters to run for #TeamLink on both days of this once-in-a-generation weekend.

Missed out in the ballot?

More than 1.3 million people entered the ballot this year, so if you weren't one of the lucky ones, you're in very good company. The good news is that a charity place gets you to that start line and every mile you run will help reduce loneliness and social isolation for older people in our community.

What you'll get as part of #TeamLink

Charity places have an entry fee of £100 (non-refundable) and a minimum sponsorship target of £2,000. In return, you'll receive:

  • Dedicated support from our friendly fundraising team

  • A personalised Link Visiting Scheme running vest with your name

  • A Q&A with a qualified physiotherapist to help look after those legs and feet!

  • Access to a variety of fundraising ideas, materials and resources

Our #TeamLink heroes

Don't just take our word for it — here's what some of our previous runners have to say.

Laura ran the TCS London Marathon and smashed her fundraising target, with our wonderful community spurring her on with countless messages and donations.

"What a privilege to have completed the TCS London Marathon for such a wonderful cause. All of the support really spurred me on when times got tough… thank you to everyone who donated."

Kevin also took on the challenge for The Link Visiting Scheme, raising vital funds to help older people feel less lonely.

"It truly exceeded all my expectations. The support from family, friends and the cheering crowds helped me across the finishing line… I'm so grateful to everyone who sponsored me. I was proud to raise money for a cause I am passionate about."

We are so proud of everyone who has taken on a challenge for The Link Visiting Scheme. Could you be our next #TeamLink hero? Find out more and register your interest in one of six charity places at linkvisiting.org/marathon.
